surveyThe Ministry of Education funds several child and family programs including: Ontario Early Years Centres, Parenting and Family Literacy Centres, Child Care Resource Centres and Better Beginnings, Better Futures programs. These programs provide opportunities for all children to participate in play and inquiry-based programs, and support all parents and caregivers in their roles. Parents and caregivers also have access to information about child development and specialized services as needed.

The government recently announced its plan to move forward with integrating these child and family programs to create Ontario Early Years Child and Family Centres by 2018. The Ministry of Education will be working with municipalities, school boards, community partners, parents and caregivers throughout this transition process to enhance programs and minimize service disruptions for children and families.
